Growing Up Boomer and The 4th of July

The 4th of July for some Baby Boomers was, what can we blow up without getting in trouble. But for some like, Jackie Travis and 29 other Corona High School Students, it was about a salute to this nation’s bicentennial, by painting the phrase “200 YEARS OF FREEDOM,” a Liberty Bell silhouette, and the dates “1776-1976.” On the Prado Dam. Then 40 years later petitioning to have the mural restored.

The Twilight Zone is one of the greatest tv shows of all time and most of its genius can be directly credited to Rod Serling. Each episode presents a stand-alone story in which characters find themselves dealing with often disturbing or unusual events, an experience described as entering "the Twilight Zone", often with a surprise ending and a moral. This two-part podcast is presented “For Your Consideration”
